Principal's Message

Dear Holy Family Parents and Carers,

End of Term Three message

This term has been nothing short of remarkable, and it is thanks to the collective efforts of our dedicated students, committed educators, supportive parents, parish, and the entire school community.

Throughout these past months, we have witnessed exceptional growth, both academically and personally. Our students have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for knowledge that continues to inspire us all. From innovative classroom projects to outstanding performances in extracurricular activities, each achievement reflects the passion and determination and a love of learning.

Our teaching staff has shown unparalleled dedication, going above and beyond to provide a nurturing environment where students can thrive.

Parents and carers, your unwavering support and collaboration have been invaluable. Your involvement in your child's education has contributed significantly to their success and growth. Together, we have achieved remarkable things!

As we look ahead to the coming term, let us continue to foster a culture of curiosity, inclusivity, and respect, where every member of our community feels valued and heard.

During the holidays may I encourage any parent of beginning readers to continue the home reading routine. Two weeks is a long break for those children who are needing practice. A little reading every day combined with a story at bedtime will make a significant difference.

NAPLAN Analysis

Earlier this term I mentioned that the staff would be analysing this year's NAPLAN results. I am absolutely delighted to share some exceptional news with you. Our Year 3 and Year 5 students have once again demonstrated their dedication, hard work, and exceptional abilities in this year's NAPLAN assessments. Both Year 3 and 5 students have achieved results that are higher than the average compared to the State, National, Catholic Schools Broken Bay and Statistically Similar Schools Group (SSSG).

The results are nothing short of outstanding. Our students have excelled in every domain, showcasing their proficiency in both literacy and numeracy (reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar and numeracy). This achievement is a testament to the collaborative effort of our dedicated teachers, the unwavering support of parents and carers, and most importantly, the commendable commitment of our students.

These results not only reflect the high standard of education provided here at Holy Family, but they also affirm the incredible potential and talent of our students.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and every student who participated in the NAPLAN assessments. Your hard work and determination have truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of your accomplishments.

Lastly, a big thank you to our parents and carers for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Your involvement plays a crucial role in fostering a positive learning experience.

Lord, help us to be thankful for one another. Help our children to be thankful for each other, for our families to be grateful for each member and to pray for one another continually. Our gratitude for one another will bind us together as a community, and our prayers for each other will further unify us in gratitude and love.

Wishing each and every one of you a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break and I look forward to seeing you in Term 4.
