Medical Management Plan

The Wellbeing of our students is our absolute priority at St Bede's College.

To assist with the care for your child’s existing medical conditions while at ourCollege,

please ensure you provide us with a Medical Management Plan from your treating doctor. If the medical condition requires medication to be administered by College staff, please have your doctor complete the Medical Authority Form and the Medical Management Plan.

Anaphylaxis, asthma, epilepsy and diabetes already have a condition specific management plan and do not require the additional medical management plan.

Asthma medication and adrenaline auto-injectors for anaphylaxis are unrestricted and do not require a medical authority form.

You can request the Medical Management Plan from your child's Campus:

Bentleigh East Campus - Reception

Mentone Campus - First Aid

The Medication Authority Form can be downloaded here

Medication at Camp

If your child is attending College camp and requires medication, please complete the Medication Authority Form and supply to the teacher in charge with all medication clearly labelled for the duration of the camp.

Please note that epiPen and Ventolin do not require a Medical Authority Form.

College staff cannot dispense paracetamol for headaches or antihistamine for hayfever symptoms.

COVID & Flu Season

Practising good hand hygiene helps to protect ourselves and those around us from cold, flu and COVID.  We encourage students to cover their face when sneezing or blowing their nose. Masks are always welcome here at St Bede's College.

If students are feeling unwell with cold symptoms - even if they produce a negative RAT - they should remain at home until they feel well enough to come to school.

Parents of students who are symptomatic of COVID symptoms will be asked to collect their child from school. If your child does test positive to COVID, please:

  • Notify the absentee office.
  • Isolate for a minimum of 5 days and not attend school until symptoms have resolved.
