Aboriginal Studies

In Week 9, Year 8 Aboriginal Studies taught Kindy how to sing Happy Birthday in Gamilaraay. Year 8 did a fantastic job of being teachers to Kindy.  All students enjoyed this activity and were able to sing it together after Year 8's great teaching efforts.

Gwydir Wetlands Excursion

On Friday of Week 9, Year 10 students went to the Gwydir Wetlands for a Geography excursion. As part of this excursion, students learned how the Wetlands water is managed and the importance of the Wetlands for many species of plants and animals. They also had the opportunity to complete some hands-on field work at the Wetlands, looking at species found within a quadrant, completing a field sketch and collecting data on other species found at the Wetlands.
