Building Intercultural Relationships with Indian Food
Creating Futures Together
Building intercultural relationships through Indian food can be a delightful and meaningful experience. Indian cuisine is known for its rich flavours, diverse ingredients, and regional variations, making it an excellent medium for cultural exchange and connection.
The Year 10 Hospitality class will be undertaking a cooking class from Poonam Gadda, to introduce Indian cuisine and the variety of regional flavours and dishes. This will be a great way to learn the basics and connect with people who share your interest in Indian food.
As educators, we know that being open to trying new foods and flavours leads to better understanding of all cultures. Don't be afraid to ask questions and learn from others. Demonstrating a genuine interest in Indian culture and cuisine will go a long way in building meaningful intercultural relationships.
