Dear Parents, Guardians & Students,

As we dive headfirst into the new academic year, it brings me immense joy to extend a warm welcome to our newest additions, the Year 7 students!  We are thrilled to have you join the Red Cliffs school family. Your presence enriches our community, and we eagerly anticipate the contributions and achievements you will bring throughout your time with us.

To kick off the school year in style, we recently hosted a Year 7 Family BBQ. It was a fantastic opportunity for both new and returning families to come together, mingle, and foster connections that will undoubtedly strengthen our school community. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of students, parents, and staff alike.

In addition to welcoming our Year 7 cohort, we are delighted to announce the triumphant launch of our Sports Academy. This exciting initiative aims to provide our students with enhanced opportunities to excel in various sports disciplines while fostering teamwork, discipline, and a spirit of healthy competition.  We look forward to witnessing the growth and accomplishments of our budding athletes as they embark on this enriching journey.

One notable aspect of this year's commencement has been the remarkable sense of calm and stability pervading our school grounds.  Students have seamlessly transitioned back into the rhythm of school life, demonstrating maturity, responsibility, and a genuine eagerness to learn. We commend both students and staff for their dedication and efforts in creating such a conducive learning environment.

As we look ahead, we have some exciting events on the horizon— with our Investiture Ceremony being held on Tuesday, 13th February, 2024.  We will be officially recognizing these students and their leadership roles in our school.  We are also eagerly anticipating our Swimming Carnival on February 21st, 2024. This thrilling event promises to be a day filled with spirited competition, camaraderie, and plenty of fun in the water.  We encourage all students to participate and showcase their swimming prowess while supporting their fellow classmates.

In closing, I would like to express my gratitude to our entire school community for your continued support and commitment to excellence. Together, we will make this academic year one of growth, achievement, and unforgettable experiences.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge Isabell Alchin for being recognized and receiving Australian honours as young sports person of the year in the Red Cliffs Australia Day Awards. Congratulations, Isabell!

Warm regards,

Mr. Justin Matt, Principal,

Mr. Brad Vallance, Assistant Principal
