Junior School Sport

Mr Matt Campbell, Junior School Sport Co-ordinator

Welcome to the Exciting Start of 2024 in Sports!

As we embark on this new year, it brings me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you to what promises to be an exhilarating and action-packed season of sports here in the Junior School. The year 2024 is filled with renewed energy and enthusiasm as we gear up for a fantastic lineup of competitions and events.

We begin the year with the return of our summer sports to competitive action. After what feels like an eternity of waiting, our athletes are eager to hit the fields, courts, and pools once again, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. Whether it's cricket, basketball, tennis, or any other summer sport, we're excited to witness the passion and dedication of our players as they take on their rivals with gusto. Mark your calendars because we have some major events lined up!

First up, we have our much-anticipated Swimming Carnival scheduled for Friday of Week 3. It's time to dust off those swim caps, practice those strokes, and get ready to make a splash in the pool. The Swimming Carnival is not just about competition; it's about camaraderie, teamwork, and the sheer joy of being in the water. Let's come together as a community to cheer on our swimmers and create great memories. And that's not all! As the term progresses, we'll be gearing up for the the Athletics Carnival at the end of the term. This is where our athletes will showcase their speed, agility, and endurance as they compete in a variety of track and field events. From sprints to long jumps, shot puts to relays, there's something for everyone to enjoy and participate in. So lace up those running shoes, stretch those muscles, and get ready to witness some excellent displays of athleticism.

As we dive headfirst into this new year, let's remember the values that make sports truly special - teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. Let's support each other both on and off the field, celebrate victories, learn from defeats, and always strive to do our best.

Here's to a fantastic start to 2024 filled with exciting matches, memorable moments, and the sheer joy of playing the sports we love. Get ready to unleash your passion and let the games begin!

Best wishes,

Matt Campbell
