From the Principal

Principal: Mathew Montebello

Dear Families,

One of the highlights of this week has been the arrival of our Grade Six jumpers and t-shirts.

It was great seeing the students walk around with great pride. School uniform is a big part of supporting school identity. The colours of blue and gold are synonymous with Willy Primary and builds on our collective school culture. Having the Grade 6 students beam with pride is a bonus, and we look forward to making their final year at primary school even more special throughout the year.

Reminder - School Photos

As photo day approaches, we just needed to make families aware of important information regarding the use of photos taken.

All students presented to our photographers on photo day will be photographed, their images will appear in school photography packages which will be available to purchase by school families.

If you have any questions regarding the use of photos and images within photo packages, please contact the office prior to photo day.

Reminder - ANZAC Day Service

Each year the school recognises the contributions that many Australians have made through service to our countries defence forces. ANZAC day is one of these key acknowledgements and this year the school will look to further recognise members of our school community who serve our country.

This year we are welcoming members of our current school community to take part in this year’s school service which will take place on Wednesday 24th April, the day prior to ANZAC day.

If you would like to be involved in this event, please feel free in contacting me directly to discuss further.

Secondly, this year the school will be looking to participate in Williamstown’s local ANZAC dawn service by having student leaders place a wreath at the memorial cenotaph at the end of Ferguson Street. We encourage all families to attend in recognises the sacrifice and contributions of all service people.

Warm regards,

Mat
