Book Club

We look forward to Book Club in 2024! We’d love to see more members join Book Club this year. Students can come see us in the library if they’d like to join. Book Club runs at lunch time every fortnight on Wednesdays on the blue timetable week.

Library Lovers’ Day

On 14th February, libraries around Australia celebrate Library Lovers’ Day. This is a day to celebrate all that libraries do for the community. Students can enjoy a ‘Blind Date with a Book’ and other activities at lunchtime.

Australian Children’s Laureate

Last week, Sally Rippin was appointed the role of 2024-2025 Australian Children’s Laureate. The role is to promote the transformational power of reading, creativity and story in the lives of young Australians. Learn more about Sally here and the foundation here.

Book Review

The carpet people’ by Terry Pratchett is a gripping novel that follows tiny people who try to go about their lives. However, their lives are shattered as the wild unpredictable force known as ‘fray’ wreaks havoc. This book follows the rise of the power hungry mouls, snargs and two brothers. A vast amount of humour among more serious topics of war and religion.
