 Term 1, Week 2

House Keeping

As we all welcome the new school year, here are a few reminders and important information.

Office hours

   8.30am - 3.30pm

School hours

   8.50am - 3.15pm

Lunch times

   11-11.30am   1.50 - 2.30pm

School gate opening times

   6.30 - 9.30am    3 - 6pm

When coming to school for afternoon pick up, please do not block the road coming up towards the school from the Ritchies end of Golf Links Rd. We have had several complaints about this issue and would like to keep the community on our good side!

Further more, if you are approaching the gate during school hours and you aren't the person who called to have them opened, please be aware that there is no sensor on the gate and it will continue to close as it is programmed to allow time for 1 car to enter at a time. Please call the school to have it opened for you. The school takes no responsibility for damaged caused under this circumstance.

Student drop off/pick up

Students may be present on school grounds unaccompanied by an adult from 8.30 am, when they can make their way to the classrooms.

School grounds are not supervised until this time, and student safety and wellbeing is priority.

We are very lucky to have care on school grounds, please contact the service if you need to enrol your student in before school care.

The drive through area is supervised until 3.30pm, students are taken to the office after this time to contact parents.

If you need to enrol your student in after school care, please contact the service as below.

Prep Playground

Children must be supervised by an adult whilst playing on the playground.

We also ask if parents, siblings and students can please depart school grounds by 3.45pm, to allow students at after school care to use the grounds. We thank you for your co-operation.

Car Parking

Please park in the designated carpark area or on the streets surrounding the school in the     main school gate, and not in the staff carpark or on the oval.

We kindly ask that you remain in your car until close to the bell time in the afternoon as not to distrupt the classes with visability to the playground etc.

Long Absences & Late Arrivals

Just a friendly reminder to please advise the school of student absences at your earliest convenience, either via email or the absence line. When leaving a message on the absence line, please include your name, the student's name, and classroom, along with the reason for the absence.

If your student arrives at school after the music has stopped playing, they will need to sign in at the office. We are happy to assist you and your children at the office with this.

This prevents us from sending you a clarification text. If you have a senior student please remind them they must come via the office to let us know they have arrived at school.

Extended absences for example holidays during term time need to be communicated with our principal, Mrs Carrie Rodda. Please email her directly: principal@safranksth.catholic.edu.au
