Digital Ambassadors Vermont Values online activity

Our Digital Ambassadors have been very busy during term 4. They participated in an Optus review focus group on the Digital Thumbprint program. They created and ran another poster campaign, contributed to the yearbook, created a Digital Literacy Game for fellow students and put together an activity focused on the Vermont Values online, which they were able to trial with several year 8 groups.

The activity looks at ways students can contribute, promote, or uphold the college values online and off. Here are some of the ideas our year 8’s came up with

Integrity: Don’t play games in class, don’t post other people's pictures online without their permission, do not spread rumours, stand up for others.

Respect: Don’t bully others, don’t make fun of other people's culture, clothes, habits, language, food, think before you type, if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it.

Excellence: Post polite positive comments, don’t post rude or offensive images or words, maintain a positive environment online, Reference anything you borrow.
