School Attendance

School attendance is important and our aim is for our students to have at least 90% attendance at school.  This year we will continue to monitor every students’ attendance. Here are some ways in which we do so:

  • Each week we celebrate the highest class attendance and the class has the honour of having our attendance trophy for the week.
  • At the end of each term, students whose attendance is above 85 – 90% attendance (depending on the term) will receive a certificate.
  • Our Learning Support Team monitor individual student attendance and will contact parents if there are concerns regarding attendance.
  • Notes will be sent home to inform parents if their child’s attendance is dropping or not satisfactory.  These may include a school note or notes from our Home School Liaison Officer (HSLO).
  • The school works closely with our HSLO to monitor attendance, providing support to families in line with Department of Education guidelines.

Kind regards
