Residential College Camp (Year 12)
Monday 5 February marked the day that Year 12 students embarked on their Residential Camp to Ormand College.
It was a fun and enjoyable two days with guest speakers coming in to talk to our students. Here is what the students had to say about it:
“Residential camp was great I learnt lots of things even though I am a VCE Vocational Major student I still found it amazing. The thing I loved most about residential was the relationships that were getting stronger and also having the tour of Melbourne University as I was looking at different pathways to get into the career that I want.”- Loren Watson
“The tour of Melbourne University was quite fascinating; we observed a number of old buildings.”
“I liked Melbourne Uni; I want to go again.”
“I had a great time at residential; I enjoyed playing frisbee and listening to several guest speakers.
I enjoyed the residential and hearing from subject experts, university staff, a panel of employers, and past students. I got some great tips on how to support my wellbeing .”
“I had fun at camp; I enjoyed hanging out with the year level.”

Grip Student Leadership Conference 2024
Last Tuesday 13 February I accompanied five of our student leaders to the Grip Student Leadership Conference held at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
The GRIP Student Leadership Conference is designed to train student leaders for their role as school leaders. The conference was focussed on what the students can do RIGHT NOW.
Our five representatives, Savannah Ferguson, Emma Foden, Anna Harper, Angie Norton and Loren Watson really enjoyed the day and gained valuable insights into how to function productively as a leader.
The conference was practical and interactive. Our students mingled with students from other schools and participated in discussions about a variety of topics. They came away with new skills, new perspectives and new ideas for making positive contributions as leaders.
