Nicole Matthews 

My name is Nicole Matthews, and I am the new Inclusion Leader at Scoresby Secondary College.

I have been in Education for more than 15 years. I began as an Integration aide, supporting students with learning or behavioural challenges in the classroom. 

Over the last 6 years, I have run the Inclusion program in two other schools. I am delighted to now be at Scoresby Secondary College in this role.

I have always found supporting students, parents and teachers a highly rewarding experience. 

I firmly believe that in working together as a team, (parents/ carers, school, the student and at times allied health professionals) we can genuinely make a positive difference in the lives and futures of our young people.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my cat (Rafiki) and partner (Pete). After many years of cooking for a living, I still enjoy getting into the kitchen and cooking up a great meal or dessert. I have two adult children who no longer live at home, and I enjoy the quality times that we spend together.

After just three weeks at Scoresby Secondary College, I feel very much a part of the community as I have been so warmly welcomed by staff, students, and parents alike.

The shocking storm event that took place last week, and the way that everyone supported each other has further cemented in my mind that I made an excellent decision to be a part of the team here at Scoresby Secondary College.
