Classes 2024/Meet the Teacher

I am pleased to confirm that classes will stay as they are for 2024.

We will be holding a 'Meet the Teacher' afternoon on Thursday, 22 February from 3.30-4.30pm. This is an informal opportunity for parents and carers to 'drop in' and introduce yourself to your child's teacher. There is no formal presentation as feedback from previous years was that families just wanted an opportunity to meet the teacher. Some parents and carers may have already done so. An overview of learning for each stage in Term 1 will be available.

If there is something you would like to discuss with regards to your child, then making a separate appointment/meeting with the teacher is the best option.

P&C Meeting

The first P&C Meeting for 2024 will be held on Wednesday, 21 February at 9.30am in the school hall. All parents and carers are welcome to come along and find out about the role of the P&C and how you can join.

Uniform

Students should be in school uniform every day, including appropriate black shoes and a hat. Sports uniform is only to be worn on sport day. When students are dressed in the same clothing (uniform), it reduces the pressure to conform to fashion trends and can help them focus on their studies. It can also improve their sense of belonging and create a more positive school environment.

Our school's uniform shop is open each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.40am to 10.40am. Online orders can be completed at any time via the uniform link button found on the Sentral App. The orders can be picked up or sent home with students.

Please ensure that clothing items such as jackets and hats are labelled with the child's name and class. This will make it easier to return to your child if they leave it in the playground.

Let us know if your child is absent

The wellbeing of our students is extremely important to us. One way we protect the wellbeing of your child is by fulfilling our responsibilities as both parents/carers and school staff by reporting and monitoring student absences.

Please remember to contact us through the Sentral App, school email or telephone 96101311. This is best done early in the morning if your child is going to be away or late for school so your child’s absence can be recorded correctly and we can provide appropriate support for you and your family.

If you speak a language other than English and need help talking with our staff, please telephone the interpreter service on 131 450. This service is free. Listen in your language or see How to contact the Telephone Interpreter Service.

For further information on the processes we use to record, monitor and follow-up student

attendance and absences please read our  School Attendance Policy.
