Michael Mahony, former Chair of the Board of Directors of Chevalier College passed away on 12 August 2024.
Michael was Board Chair from 2004-2012. He had degrees in Law and Theology, and worked with the NSW Department of Community Services for more than 20 years, before being appointed a Magistrate of the Local Court of NSW.
Michael was a proud supporter of the College, and his four sons attended school here. From his time as a parent, to his tremendous and long-term service as Board Chair, Michael generously gave his time, knowledge, expertise and experience to Chevalier. His contribution was invaluable.
We offer our sincere condolences to Michael’s wife Bernadette, and his four sons, Brendan, Kieran, Patrick and Christopher and their families.
Michael’s funeral will be held here at Chevalier College on Tuesday 20 August at 12.00pm in Prentice Chapel. A livestream link is also available for those that are unable to attend in person.
