Director of Students Report

Katee Mitchell

The end of Term 3 is fast approaching with the last 4 weeks involving several whole school activities including House Singing and Mission Fair Day on the last day of term. Sporting opportunities continue for students with both clay target shooting and football this week. Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held in week 9 and I encourage you to attend this time with your child’s teachers to have conversations about their learning and engagement here at Monivae College.

Organisational Info:

  • If students need to be collected through the school day, the parent/guardian/listed contacts must come into the Front Reception area and sign the student out. Students are not permitted to leave unless this occurs.
  • There are still no bus passes available for - Heywood/Portland Bus number 2 , Dunkeld (10) or Glenthompson (9)
  • Please ensure that all items of clothing are named as there has been several students come and say that they have lost jumpers and rugby tops, however when they are not named, this makes it extremely difficult to return to the correct person.
  • Mission Fair Day – some PCP groups are asking students to bring donated items in for their stalls eg Bake Sale, lolly bags, while others may need a small monetary donation for ingredients. This day raises money for those less fortunate than ourselves.
  • Uniform – blazers must be worn to and from school in Terms 2 and 3 and for all assemblies, Liturgies and other special occasions.
  • With the ongoing respiratory illness in the community, there has been an increase in students who are unwell. To prevent this spreading further, please keep your children at home if they display symptoms and need time to rest and recover before returning to school.
