School Cup Netball
On Wednesday 4th September a team of Year 5 and 6 girls participated in the State Cup Netball competition. The girls had gained entry by winning in Bathurst earlier this year. All of the girls played extremely well and had a fantastic day. We were up against a number of great teams and managed to win 2 of our 4 games. Well done to the girls on their huge effort and a wonderful day. Thank you to all the parents that came along to support the team and a special thank you to those that helped with refereeing and scoring.
Sporting Schools Grant
Next term K-2 will be undertaking a gymnastics program for a 4 week period. A big thank you to Mrs Agresta for organising this event. There will be no cost involved in this program due to the success of our school gaining a Sporting Schools Grant through Australian Sports Commission
Swimming Program
Catherine McAuley is pleased to announce a partnership with Kinross so that this year we are able to run an intensive Learn to Swim program for all our Year 1 and Year 2 students. The program will be held in Term 4 week 9. Our school would also like to thank the PACE group who generously donated $5000 towards covering some of the costs. This support is greatly appreciated.
Polding Athletics
Congratulations to both Oscar Nunn (5th in Discus) and Charlotte Shepherd (13th in 1500m) who were both involved in Polding Athletics in Newcastle last week. A great achievement by both these athletes
Great Work Boys
Fletcher, Oscar & Matthew have been playing together, in the same team for 5 years. Jared joined a couple of years ago & Landon & Jackson this year.
These 6 boys, along with their 5 other team mates have finished the season, undefeated, with a couple of pearler games along the way. Their highest scoring game being 14-0.
An amazing achievement!
