Chinese Language Teachers' Association of Victoria (CLTAV) Reading Award Night

Last Friday night CLTAV held the Year 7-9 Reading Award Night at The University of Melbourne. This is an annual reading competition for non-background Chinese students.

EDSC had selected 5 students for this competition:

Year 7

Aatiqa 

Ronika

Ryan

Year 8

Aanya 

Saya

All students performed well in the competition especially Ryan who won 3rd position for the Year 7 group. Congratulations to all students that participated, they put great effort into practicing speaking Chinese at school, it was a great achievement!

Student Report

I had a thrilling time at the 2024 Chinese Reading Award Night hosted by the CLTAV organisation. Coming in third place, I was delighted with my results, knowing that I've worked hard and spoken well. 

I socialised with other schools and made new friends along the way.  Upon gazing at the beautiful geometric shapes of the roof of the theatre at the prestigious University Of Melbourne, I knew that I would have an amazing experience to remember.
