Regional Netball Finals
Congratulations to our two Croydon Hills Netball teams that competed in the School Sport Victoria Regional Championships yesterday at Waverley Netball Centre. Both teams proudly represented Croydon Hills and put in their best effort alongside demonstrating good sportsmanship, as they have done throughout each progression stage.
The Girl’s and Mixed netball teams both played extremely well all day making it through to their grand finals undefeated. There was some incredibly tough competition and our Girl’s team finished the day second in the Region with a tough four goal loss in the grand final.
The Mixed team faced a close game, but managed to take out the regional title, meaning they will progress to the state finals later this year. We are so proud of all the students in both teams - a momentous effort all around!
District Athletics
Congratulations to the middle and senior students who made the CHPS District Athletics team. This event will be held on the 2nd of September, at Bill Stewart Athletics Track in Burwood East. We are currently in the middle of finalising places, however once the teams are locked in you will see an event pop up on Compass. If you are able to assist us on the day, we require some parent helpers for girls long jump event. Please email jayne.beith@education.vic.gov.au or jarrod.butcher@education.vic.gov.au if you’re able to help. Thankyou for your support!

Performaing Arts
Last week the CHPS Performed at the Victorian School Music Festival. We scored highly for stage presence, dynamics and musicality and were commended for our inclusivity, size and excellent musical direction/conducting. We received the bronze award and were noted as trail blazers bringing public schools into the legitimate music sphere. We look forward to next year and hoping to achieve a platinum, gold, or silver award.
Sick Bay
We have had several cases of Influenza A present in the school. Please ensure you keep unwell children home until at least 24-48 hours after a fever or vomiting or until they are well in general.
