"Reading is Magic"

Book Week 2024

"The library is not just full of books, but also opportunities."

Abbey 2016

IT'S HERE   IT'S HERE  and ... IT'S   FINISHED but the joy of BOOK WEEK continues.

When 1 magic show is NEVER enough.

The last of our official BOOK WEEK activities took place on Friday afternoon with one more magic show.

Friday's show was a surprise performance by the "Great Ringini" aka John Ringland, a former parent of our school. John was excited at the prospect of doing what he loves best for a school he holds in fond memory. Katie, Archie and Harry, John and wife Kirilee's children, all attended St Nicholas school.

The students were very ecstatic when Mr Henn, Miss Maxwell, Mrs Iles and Mrs Henry offered themselves, actually the students offered them up,  as magician assistants. I think John thought we were trying to trick him when two Amys walked up.

A great afternoon was had by all. Thank you John, students and teachers.

BOOK FAIR

Book Fair items are on their way and should arrive any day now.

Thank you for your patience.

CHOICE = Motivation

When students visit the library a huge emphasis is placed on the

LIBRARY BAGS

Please note a LIBRARY BAG is the first item on your child's equipment list for this year.

Thank you for ensuring your child has a library bag. I have some spares and will issue these to students next week who have not yet presented with a bag.

LIBRARY BAGS MATTER...  Not just some of the time but all of the time.

No food or drink on my books.

Food and drink are for the chooks.

Library bags keep ‘em clean.

Books are cool don’t treat ‘em mean.

Bring your bag every time.

Fill it up and get in line.

Have it scanned and scoot on out.

LIBRARY BAGS

We all shout.
