OUR FAITH
PRAYER
Loving God,
speak to each one of us in your still small voice, and grant us your peace which passes understanding, that quiet confidence which only you can bring, and so may our burdens be lifted and our souls refreshed.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Amen.
We pray ...
for.....all students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
Confirmation Retreat
Tomorrow Year 6 students and staff will participate in the Confirmation Retreat Day at St Nicholas School. Throughout the day the students will be joined by McCarthy students, St Nicholas Parishioners and Fr Chris. This Retreat is an opportunity for students to pray, reflect, share stories and experiences and take stock of their faith journey with their peers and adults alike. Students are reminded that they are to wear their full summer or winter uniform.
Sacrament of Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Fr Chris in our St Nicholas Parish this Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September. A reminder that the Confirmation candidates are required to attend Reconciliation. Reconciliation will take place this evening beginning at 5.30pm at St Nicholas Church. If candidates cannot attend Reconciliation this evening then they will need to make themselves available to attend Reconciliation on Saturday 8th September between 4.00pm-5.00pm at St Nicholas Church.
Please keep our Confirmation Candidates in your prayers.
OZANAM FEAST DAY - MONDAY 9TH SEPT
On September 9, we celebrate the Feast Day of the founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Blessed Frederic Ozanam. Born in 1813 in Milan, Frederic was a gifted scholar who studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. At that time, religion was under attack in Europe, and Frederic became a champion for the Catholic faith. At one point, one of his fellow students challenged him by saying, “show us your works!”. Frederic rose to the challenge. He and a group of his fellow students formed the “Conference of History”, and working with Daughters of Charity, they began to visit and help the poor in some of the most impoverished neighborhoods of Paris.
To celebrate this day, students in Ozanam house may wear green mufti clothes on Monday 9th September.
FATHER'S DAY LITURGY & CELEBRATIONS
A very special breakfast and liturgy was held last Friday for our fathers and special guests and I would like to thank all the volunteers, students and teachers who made the day so meaningful. Thank you also to those who attended. The students always enjoy your company at school and many take pride in having the opportunity to play, pray and worship together. We hope that our Fathers had an enjoyable Father’s Day and were spoilt in one way or another by their families.
INFANTS LITURGY
On Wednesday 25th September there will be an Infants Liturgy held at St Nicholas Church beginning at 9.30am. We invite all of our parents, families and friends to attend.
