PERSONAL INTEREST GROUP & ASSEMBLIES

We are starting Personal Interest Groups on a Friday afternoon 2.00pm - 3.00pm, and we will be running assemblies on the alternate week, 2.00pm - 3.00pm.

We would love to see as many parents as possible attending the family assemblies so to accommodate that, we have changed from having 1 class present a week to all the ’L’ classes presenting one week and all the ‘C’ classes presenting the next week.

Should you have any questions then please speak to the classroom teacher. We look forward to seeing you at any of the scheduled assemblies.

Friday 13 September - L classes to present at assembly

Thursday 26 September - C classes + Prep to present at assembly

YEAR 1/2 EXCURSION

On Tuesday 20 August, students from both Year 1-2 classes went on an excursion to the Hive in Ulverstone. They were given a tour through the art gallery, and were able to observe some very cool charcoal paintings, before heading into the museum and looking at some of the old artefacts they have on display. Students then created their own underwater collage featuring lots of textured colours, before heading up to the planetarium for a movie and look into our solar system. Students finished the day in the science centre creating and testing their own cars, and tinkering with all the fun gadgets and gizmos they have in the top floor. Students loved the day!

SPECIAL LETTER

Our Year 1/2 students wrote to Sir David Attenborough last term, sharing their favourite animals and asking him what his was.  They received a hand written reply on his personalised note paper, sent via airmail to the class!

What a fabulous real life connection and treasured letter for the school to have.
