Our Grade 3 students have been immersed in hands-on activities that bring our Curiosity topic, "How did First Nations People live before early settlement?", to life. On Bunurong Land, we’ve explored the rich history and culture of the First Nations People. Last week, we ventured to Albert Park Lake, where we connected with nature by drawing, listening, and sharing what we felt grateful for in this environment. Back in the classroom, we delved into the wonders of native plants. The students were especially excited to learn about Wattleseeds, which they ground into flour and used to create salt dough. They then imprinted the dough with the patterns of these native plants, creating beautiful, meaningful keepsakes. These experiences have sparked a sense of wonder and inspiring them to explore and learn even more.
