A Message From Anna

Acting Principal's Report

Working Bee

I was simply blown away by the efforts of our school community in tidying up the school grounds over the weekend. In all my years, and all my schools, I have never seen SO many volunteers at a school working bee. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for volunteering your time and energy. The school looks incredible. School staff are also incredibly grateful to have somewhere to park again.

Curriculum Day TOMORROW – Friday 16th August

Tomorrow will be a Student-Free Curriculum Day for Box Hill North PSK.

School staff will be meeting at school to learn all about the new model of funding for students with disabilities – Disability Inclusion. This new model will replace the Program for Students with a Disability (PSD) over the next few years. Having implemented Disability Inclusion over the past three years at my previous school, I am looking forward to bringing it into BHNPS, as I believe it to be a more inclusive model for supporting students’ individual needs.

Book Week

Next week is everyone’s favourite week of the school year – BOOK WEEK!

We look forward to seeing all of our students and staff dressed up on Thursday for our Book Week Parade just at 9.30am. To fill the time in between drop-off and the parade, parents please feel free to come into classrooms to read with your children between 9 and 9.30am. We would love to have you.

Attendance

A friendly reminder that our morning bell goes at 8.50am, and we expect students to use this time to prepare for the day’s learning. Starting the school day at this time allows students to feel prepared and ready for the day ahead and has significant positive impact on their learning results.
