BOOK WEEK ROCKS!
Well what a fantastic week of celebrating the wonderful world of literature. The theme of Book Week was Reading is Magic and the senior students took to the week with gusto!
I shared one of my favourite books (The Lotus Seed) which talks about our shared emigration story through the eyes of a Vietnamese girl. Some beautiful artwork to support this will be exhibited as part of our Inquiry Exhibition of Learning, taking place on Thursday, 12th September.
We also looked at the Picture Story Book of the Year finalists and focused on a beautiful book 'That Bird Has Arms', a story about celebrating differences together with the effects of cyber bullying amongst teenagers (and all from a picture book!).
