This workshop is for parents, grandparents, unpaid carers and kinship carers to learn about autism and ways to strengthen the partnership between home and school. (Please note: your child does not need a formal diagnosis for you to attend).
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- Diversity of autism
- Understanding sensory processing
- Understanding behaviour
- Working in partnerships.
Free morning tea and lunch will be provided.

In Teens Clay Studio, Kate Butler will share a range of basic handbuilding methods to guide teens in creating their own unique ceramic piece. Kate will share methods for creating a variety of pottery projects from a set of cups, an abstract sculpture, a decorative vase, or even a clay portrait! This workshop is the perfect place for teens to explore clay and create something unique to their interests - you are encouraged to bring in your own project ideas to the workshop too!
1.5hrs $65 per person Ages 5+
Wednesday 25th September 10:30am-12:00pm
Learn how to build your own chest or trinket box to store secret treasure! Under the guidance of our experienced tutor, kids will learn how to rolls slabs of clay to construct clay boxes and decorate their work coils, handles and a rainbow of underglaze colours! We will then fire and glaze each piece for you to take home and enjoy!

1.5hrs $65 per person Ages 5+ Wednesday 2nd October 10:30am-12pm Snazz up your morning cereal with your own coil bowl! Under the guidance of our experienced tutor, kids will learn how to create coils and balls and smooth them into bowl mould. They can then choose a glaze colour and we will glaze and fire each one, ready to take home at a later date. |
