Year 12 Outdoor Recreation Encounter

John Wollaston community, settle in and enjoy the spring sunshine as you dive into this bumper issue!

The following pages showcase the wide range of activities our students have been involved in over the past fortnight. It’s been a joy to witness our students in action—whether performing, speaking, or debating on stage, competing, participating or cheering on the field, leading in Chapel, or admiring the impressive work they’ve created.

Arts Week continues to offer a variety of events that encourage students to pursue their interests and showcase their passion. The creative works on display across the week are a testament to the students' hardwork and dedication, as well as the inspiration and support from our dedicated Arts staff. My sincere gratitude to Mr Christian Devellerez, Ms Simone de la Motte, Ms Amanda Lin, Mr Rory Marchant, Mr Luke Morgan, Ms Rhiannon Thomas, Mrs Elsofie Dowd and Miss Shania Mullins. Thank you also to our families for your ongoing support of these events.

The School continues to partner with experts to support the wellbeing of our students. This fortnight, Paul Litherland, from Surf Safe Online, returned to offer his invaluable advice, building on the crucial skills our young people need to safely and responsibly navigate social media, in the hope that this extends to fostering their digital wellbeing.

As the mornings grow brighter and the sunshine warmer, a special thanks to our grounds and maintenance staff for keeping our campus beautiful and full of colour for us all to enjoy.

With gratitude and joy

Kylie Virgo
