Student Engagement

Welcome to Week 4!

We’re already halfway through the term, and it’s been wonderful to see students engaging so positively with our wellbeing focus across the school.

At St Fidelis, we’re continuing to build strong wellbeing foundations through whole-school programs that support students to feel safe, connected and ready to learn.

This term, we’re excited to invite families to register their interest in our upcoming  TRP@Home Workshop. This session will explore how you can use the Resilience Project pillars – Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness (GEM) – at home, with practical ideas and tools to support emotional wellbeing in everyday family life. Register your interest before August 24: https://form.jotform.com/252168328791869

Our GEM Leaders are already leading the way, embedding GEM chats across the school. These short, reflective conversations help students build emotional awareness and strengthen their relationships with others.

We are also continuing to embed the Zones of Regulation, helping students name and notice their feelings, and develop strategies to manage big emotions. These tools support students in building self-awareness, emotional control and positive behaviour choices.

Bullying. No Way! Week – August 11–15

This year’s theme is: Be Bold. Be Brave. Speak Up.

During the week, students will take part in meaningful discussions and activities aimed at promoting empathy, understanding and respect for diversity. Families are encouraged to continue these conversations at home to help reinforce the message.

Students will explore:

  • What bullying is and what it isn’t
  • The importance of being an upstander, not a bystander
  • How to respond safely and respectfully
  • Why kindness and courage matter

For more information and tips on how to have these conversations at home, visit: 🔹 Bullying. No Way!

If you have any concerns that your child may be experiencing bullying, please get in touch with Vira Pirrotta, Vicky Karalis or Bianka Zorzut in the first instance.

We look forward to welcoming you to our TRP@Home Workshop and continuing this important wellbeing journey together – building a strong, compassionate school culture for all.

Warmly,

Vicky, Bianka and Vira
