Lord,
You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people,
so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent.
Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to Your voice.
Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfil
the good work that You have begun in them.
As we prepare these children for Confirmation,
Make each of us an instrument of Your love.
Teach us to appreciate what is holy in others,
and to be patient with what we do not understand.
Deepen our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our example.
We pray that You will continue to guide us and sustain us.
Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Celebrating Confirmation:
I take this opportunity to congratulate all our Year Six children who received the gift of the Holy Spirit during our Confirmation celebration at St. Fidelis on Sunday. The Sacrament was celebrated by Most Rev. Rene Ramirez, RCJ, Father Brendan Reed and Father Tien Tran. Throughout the celebration, the children had the opportunity to pause and reflect on the deep significance of the Sacrament of Confirmation. They considered how this milestone marks a personal commitment to their faith, strengthening of their relationship with God, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Moments of prayer, song, and scripture allowed them to connect more deeply with the meaning of being confirmed, and to recognise the ways they are called to live out their faith in their everyday actions and choices.
School Choir
We want to thank the following students for sharing their beautiful voices at our Confirmation celebration: Asha, Ella, Veronica and Tess. Your singing added so much joy and reverence to the occasion, and you all did an outstanding job throughout the celebration. Thank you.
Our whole school will come together this Friday to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with a special Mass. We warmly invite all parents and carers to join us for this significant occasion. Mass will begin at 9:15 am on Friday, 15 August.
At St Fidelis, we recognise that parents are the first and most important educators in their child’s faith journey. As a Catholic school, we are committed to supporting this through Parent/Child workshops and faith formation opportunities across all year levels.
We are pleased to announce our second faith formation evening for 2025, which will take place on Thursday, 28th of August at 7.00 pm for families in 1/2NA and 1/2OB, as well as for those who were unable to attend the previous session.
Further details will be sent home closer to the date. The workshop will be facilitated by Pauline Cicutto, Religious Education Learning Consultant at MACS, who has extensive experience in leading engaging and meaningful faith formation evenings for families.
Thank you to all the families who have already contributed to the St Vinnies Winter Appeal. Your generosity is helping to support those in need during the colder months. We invite all families to continue giving to this important initiative. Donation baskets are available at each year level across the school. The appeal has been extended until the end of August - every contribution makes a difference.
God bless and have a great week.
