Hello Everyone,

Survey - WE WANT OUR PARENTS / CAREGIVERS / GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback. We sent you an invitation to complete the survey via Compass and email on Thursday 29th August.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will remain open online until Friday 19 September 2025.

The survey is available in English and 10 other languages: Arabic, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Japanese, Punjabi, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

If you require assistance in another language, there are survey translation guides available in 29 other languages – ask for one of these at the office.

If you are having trouble accessing the survey at home, there are some iPads available at school for you to use, please ask for one at the office (iPads available from Tuesday, 2nd of September).

Should you have any questions about the survey, please see the office.

Volunteers Needed!

First of all, a HUGE thank you to the volunteers who have already come and helped out!!!

However, we are still calling all DPW family members who have completed the Volunteer Induction this year! We require assistance to do some laminating, and stamp and label a considerable number of new books that have been purchased to support student learning. If you could spare at least 30 minutes of your time, it would be very much appreciated.

We also would like some volunteers who may be able to come to assist with putting up and taking down student artwork.  Please see Kelly, or myself, at the office if you are able to help.

A reminder that you must have completed the Volunteer Induction in 2025 to assist.

Foundation 2026 Enrolments – Transition Begins Soon!

Early in Term 4 we will begin our Foundation Transition Program for children starting school in 2026.

Enrolments for Foundation (Prep) 2026 at Deer Park West Primary School are still open! Now is the perfect time to enrol and give your child the best possible start to their school journey.

Starting school is a major milestone, and at Deer Park West Primary School, we are committed to supporting families every step of the way. Our school offers a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and thrive.

If you have a child starting Foundation in 2026—or know someone who does—please contact our school office to learn more about the enrolment process and collect a transition pack. This can also be accessed through our school website. We’re here to make this transition a positive and exciting experience for every child and family.

Celebrations of Learning

We are excited to invite families to our Term 3 Celebration of Learning on Wednesday 3rd September at 2:30pm.

This term, our students have been exploring the world of Science, and they look forward to sharing their learning through a series of fun, hands-on experiments. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking.

We warmly encourage families to attend—your presence not only celebrates your child’s achievements but also strengthens the connection between home and school. When families engage in learning experiences, it builds confidence, reinforces the value of education, and helps children feel proud of their progress.

We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the incredible learning that is taking place this term!

Kind regards,
