Leadership at BBPS

Grade 6 students enjoying the sunshine after their community acts of kindness

Grade 6 led lunch clubs have begun already! Well done to our leaders for organising such great activities to support our students in play.

BBPS 100 Acts of Kindness

Grade 6 report - Myles, Axel, Will (Communications Team)

We are the Year 6’s of Brighton Beach Primary School and this week we are doing some acts of kindness around our neighbourhood. Our chosen community group is our school neighbours. We will be doing tasks like writing 100 letters and picking up 100 pieces of rubbish.

We are also doing this because almost every day people who live around the school have to hear the music and a bell every day, they throw our balls back over the fence, and drive safely, especially at drop off and pick up and we want to thank them.

In our opinion this is going to be a great opportunity to share kindness and pay forward the acts started in Prep. This event is happening this Thursday 14th August. Each student group will be given tongs to pick up the rubbish and we will do the best we can to help the environment and make people in our area happy.

Year 6 thinks that if there was more kindness in the world there would be less wars, no scammers and no rude and horrible people so that’s why we are doing these acts of kindnes. Maybe our neighbours will want to pay-it-forward too.

Grade 1 report - Chloe and Olivia

We are collecting items for our local animal shelter. We are passionate about this act of kindness because we love Charlie Sparkles, our therapy dog in training. We are collecting blankets to help keep warm in the winter, towels to keep animals clean, food and toys to keep them as happy as Charlie.

We still need some more dog toys, collars and leads.

All donations welcome, not just from Grade 1, if you would like to be involved.

Wow! so many wonderful donations!
