New Embroidery Classes

Our embroidery class has been exceptionally well-received, with 11 participants and 6 children joining our first session. The class is currently at full capacity, reflecting the strong interest and positive feedback from the community. In response to this demand, we are exploring opportunities to offer another session in 2025, ensuring we continue to meet the creative needs and interests of our community.

Essendon Football incursion

Our Thursday playgroup welcomed the Essendon Football Club for an incursion promoting healthy lifestyle. It was a fun day and wonderful to see children and mothers engaging in an active activity with smiles and laughter. We can offer future programs with the club, and we look forward to welcoming more incursions in the future. Free tickets to an AFL game was also a welcome surprise.

Zumba 

On August 12th, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mem, our Zumba instructor, and enjoyed our very first Zumba class a fun and energetic way to support health and wellbeing. We’re excited to welcome new participants and look forward to having you join us.

Volunteering

Are you passionate about building stronger, more connected communities? We're looking for dedicated volunteers to support our Community Hub. Our hub is a space where people come together to learn, share, and grow. Whether you can lend a hand with events, help out in the garden, assist with groups or simply offer a listening ear, your time and energy can have a real impact. No experience needed, just a willingness to get involved. Join us  and help create a more inclusive, supportive neighbourhood for everyone! Please see Melissa in the Hub for more information.

We’re excited to welcome you to our Hub—a space designed to connect families with each other, with the school and kindergarten, and with local support services and community networks.

You're invited to drop in for a coffee or tea and a friendly chat. Melissa is available Monday to Friday, and Gonul, who also speaks Arabic and Turkish, is available on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

We’d love to hear from you. If you have any suggestions, ideas for future programs, or events you'd like to participate in at the Hub, please don’t hesitate to share.

At Meadows Primary School Community Hub, we encourage and support community engagement through a range of programs and services open to both the school and the wider community.
