Konnichiwa from Japanese class!
In Term 3, Grades 3 to 6 have practised Japanese Calligraphy with Brush and Ink. You might have seen their work on the wall when you visited the Japanese class on the Learning Expo Night. Students wrote Kanji for winter 冬 (fuyu) and 花火(hanabi), learned the rules of how the words should be written with a brush and ink.
Foundation to Grade 2 made some robots out of everyday objects, which were also displayed in the Japanese class. They were made out of old toys, toilet rolls, stuff you can find in the kitchens and the bottom of the toy boxes. They have learned the body parts with songs, and these robots. Grade 3 also finished making those robots today. Here are some of their photos.
In Foundation and Grade 1, we have learned about The Colour Monster today. They explore the colours and feelings of happiness, sadness, anger, fear and calm in Japanese. I loved watching them express their feeling by drawing their coloured Monster, and they used some bottles to sort their feelings. I would like to share their creative drawings here with you.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! Don't hesitate to ask any questions and comments to the Japanese Class!
