Current Year 8 students will be choosing their electives for Year 9 2026 over the next few weeks. The Year 9 Subject Handbook along with instructions for selecting subjects will be sent shortly to all families. Boys are encouraged to select subjects that they would like to try and that they would enjoy.
Electives need to be decided by Thursday 4 September
Student specific due dates for Term 3 assessment items can now be viewed in the Parent Orbit App. Your son is encouraged to look at his subjects and transfer all assessment due dates to his College Diary.




The online Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews are taking place via Teams on Monday 18 August. The online booking system for these interviews closed at 7:00pm on Monday 11 August. If you didn’t manage to secure a booking prior to the booking system closing, please email Alicia Lee on leea@marash.qld.edu.au.
A reminder to all parents, if you book an online Parent/Teacher/Student interview this term, you will not be permitted to book face-to-face interviews with the same teachers next term (Tuesday 7 October).
Any Year 11 student who may be interested in undertaking an Extension subject in either Music or English/Literature in Term 4 (Unit 3 and 4) must contact the Academic Care Team to arrange an interview.
The myQCE competition closes on Friday 19 September 2025. It offers Years 10–12 students a chance to win one of three prizes: a MacBook Air, an iPad Air with Magic Keyboard, or a pair of AirPods Max headphones. To enter the competition students must:

Marist Subject support tutoring is off and running.


Tutoring is offered by Old Boys and takes place from 7:30am to 8:30am and also 3:30pm to 4:30pm Tuesday to Thursday each week.
Please find here a list of Old Boys who are available to tutor your son outside of school hours. This list can also be located on the parent portal or via this link. Please note it is the parent’s responsibility to organise and liaise tutoring times with the Old Boys.
Year 12 Night Study Session will commence again this week - Wednesday night between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. As usual, students will need to sign in and out. They can arrive and leave at any time between 5:00pm-8:00pm; but they are not able to keep coming and leaving during the night.
We’re excited to share that Griffith’s popular Academic Bootcamps are back for the September holidays!
These four-day courses help Year 12 students boost their final exam results with support from experienced teachers currently delivering these subjects in schools.
Students will:
Available in-person or online. Subjects include General Maths, Maths Methods, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Psychology.
Students can attend up to two bootcamps across consecutive weeks.
