Week 5 Wrap Up!
What a fantastic week we’ve had! The children enjoyed getting hands-on in the kitchen, whipping up lots of honey joys to share. On Wednesday afternoon, a warm and hearty homemade lasagna was served for afternoon tea, which was a huge hit with everyone. We even gave cheesy croissants a go on our breakfast menu, which quickly became a favorite treat to begin the day!
A highlight this week has been our brand-new train sets – sparking endless creativity, problem-solving, and storytelling during play. They have been a great addition to our toy collection!
Staffing Update
Sophie Update:
In week 6 we will be saying goodbye to Sophie as she has officially taken on a teaching position for the remainder of the year! She will be stepping into a Casual/Flexable Educator role with OSHClub and will be around on the upcoming spring school holidays!!!
On Thursday the 28th of September we will be having a little goodbye party for Sophie in the afternoon! If you child would like to attend the afternoon session, please book in soon as we have limited space available.
Amelia Update:
Next week Amelia will be attending her university teaching placement from week 6 to the end of week 8! She will back in the last week of term!
During this time Leyla will be coordinating the service.
Spring Holiday Program Update
We are expected (hoping) to receive information about the spring holiday program in week 7. As soon as the Holiday Program schedule has been released, we will have them available at the service/online and should be notified via email!
In the meantime, the Vacation Care sessions are open for bookings now! We recommend planning routine bookings early as spaces are limited!
Family Suggestions
At OSHClub, we deeply value our families and community and would love to incorporate more family voices into our program. Whether it's a cherished family recipe we can cook together, a creative art activity, or any other idea, we would greatly appreciate your input!
Feel free to share your suggestions in our journal, located in the parent sign-in area, and we’ll do our best to bring them to life. Your contributions help make our program even more special!
Drop off/Pick up
Parents/ guardians are required to sign children in for Rise and Shine sessions and sign children out of Stay and Play sessions using the service iPad. Please ensure you are coming to the room when dropping your children to Rise then Shine or holiday program. Please do not let them walk by themselves.
Enrolling Your Child
For new enrolments, please go to https://www.oshclub.com.au/register/
A helpful video for navigating the iParent Portal and completing the enrolment process can be found on this page.
Please note: CRN numbers and all birth dates must be entered correctly if you wish to claim the Child Care Subsidy. CCS applications are submitted automatically to Centrelink when new enrolments are actioned.
Bookings
Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.
If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.
Cancellation of Bookings
IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.
We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
