This week our students proudly represented the school at the Divisional Athletics Carnival at Landy Field, competing against some of the very best athletes in Geelong. I was so impressed by the outstanding effort, determination, and sportsmanship shown by every student on the day. Many had been training both at school and at home, and their hard work really paid off, with so many achieving personal best results and also placing ribbons within their events.
Well done to our Girls Relay team who came 2nd in Geelong, only to be pipped by a legs distance in the final race!
It was wonderful to see our students give their very best, support each other across the track-side and push through any nerves on such a big stage. Congratulations to all of our athletes – you should be very proud!
A huge shout out also to parent Brendan Williams who helped support Mr Hambrook during the event, whilst also assisting many students with coaching and supervision on the day.
Mano are super lucky to have so many awesome parents at these events and it was great to see so many come out and cheer on the kids.
The Regional Athletics will be held on Tuesday 21st of October at Keilor Athletics Track next Term.
We congratulate those students who made it through to the next round- information will be communicated to families soon.
