Principal's News

Dear Parents,
Welcome back! I hope you had a fabulous holiday break. It's great to see the sun a little more and to have the time after work to fit a few more things in due to daylight savings beginning.
It's amazing to think we are in Term Four already, as it means another year is coming to a close. There's a lot to look forward to, and planning for 2026 to occur.
YEAR FOUR CAMP - FUN IN THE CITY!
The Year Four students were in the City on their overnight Camp this week. They visited the MCG, ACMI and the Chinese Museum, as well as staying overnight with their friends. Following the Camp, the Year Four students had Thursday off to recover, as the teachers/staff need to have their Time in Lieu too. Thank you to the staff who attended and organised the Year Four Camp this week ~ Jamie Atherton, Sandra Tieppo, Chloe Jones, Elaine Priest, Rachael Hutt, Ida Fruci and Kate Sanford.
Special thanks to Jamie Atherton who was instrumental in the organisation of this fabulous experience for the Year Four students, which will assist them in being prepared for subsequent camps. Thank you parents for your flexibility in transporting your child to Heidelberg due to the trains not running from Rosanna.
PREP 2026 - ORIENTATION SESSIONS
Our Orientation Sessions occur later this term, on Thursday 30 October at 9.30am, Wednesday 12 November at 9.30am and Monday 17 November at 9.30am.
We look forward to seeing our Prep students and parents at these mornings. Please note that we ask parents to stay at school during the Orientation Sessions, and meet with staff in the GECCO, so we can share further information with you.

2025 MACSSIS SURVEY

The Rebel vouchers were won by the Farchione, Hanrahan, Jankowski and Warnakula families - Congratulations!! Vouchers have been sent home with your child today.
SEXUALITY EDUCATION - YEARS 5 AND 6
The final session for the Year 5 and 6 students was held last Monday. This is an important aspect of your child's development, and we have been grateful to have staff from 'The Workshop' with us to impart this. Special thanks also to Kate Wilde for leading the Family Forum. In 2026, we will alternate this with our Cyber Safety focus, another important aspect when preparing students for adolescence.

BAPTISM
If your child has not yet been baptised, please consider whether you would like to celebrate this sacrament prior to them reaching the sacramental years.
Please contact the Parish Office on P: 9401 6338 to arrange this with Fr Michael.
PARISH RENEWAL PROGRAM
Over the next three weekends, the Parish, which includes the school, is participating in a Renewal Program. This is a time to review and renew your connection to the Parish in three areas ~ Faith, Engagement and Commitment.
This week's focus is Faith. How does the parish support and nourish your faith and the faith of your family?
Please see the information in the Parish section of the Newsletter and the hard copy brochure will be sent home on Monday for you.
What a fabulous week to start the term. Have a wonderful weekend! God bless.
