News of the Week

Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome to this week's news! This is the last newsletter from the Environment group. So far there's been many exciting activities and events and we would like to inform you about everything. We are having our school concert in Week 9 on September 18th and we can't wait!

Year 4  Sovereign Hill Camp

What was your favourite part of camp and why?

Blake I liked mine tours because we got to see the biggest nugget and how it was found and the sites.

Emily: I liked going shopping for lollies because we got to see all the olden day supplies and the treats we got to have.

Oscar: I liked the panning because it was fun and hard to find the gold.

Isla: I liked the gold mine because we got to go underground and see how the miners found gold in the mines.

School of Rock

The concert is next week and we are so excited.

Tickets are on sale via the CDFpay App.  Limit 5 per family.  Adults $20.00 Children 5-18 years $10.00.  Toddlers free but will have to sit on a parents knee.  In preparation for our whole school rehearsal on Monday 15 September (at St Brigid's), we ask that all students bring in their costumes by tomorrow. Students are to wear their sports uniform on this day.

AFLW visit

We were lucky enough to have members from the St Kilda AFLW team come to our school. They answered any questions we had, we learnt lots of new things. They also kicked the footy with us and help us improve on our kicking skills. It was so fun :).

With thanks
