Middle School

3/4 NP & 3/4 JS

And just like that the term comes to an end! We cannot wait to hear of the fun adventures the kids get up to on the holidays. Before we can celebrate the holidays take a look at what we've been up to!

Reading: In our reading sessions we have finished working on our independent Book Reports. Students worked hard to read their novels and answer comprehension, prediction and analysing questions about their novels. Students were so excited to show their loved ones all the hard work they have been doing at on our open morning.

Writing: In writing, Students have been learning about information reports. With a big focus on paraphrasing their researched facts. They have learnt to navigate the internet looking for safe and trusted websites to find real facts. Then students learnt the crucial skill of  turning the facts into their own words. They got creative and put their information together in a PowerPoint.

Maths: We have been busy learning about statistics and data. Students have learnt to read and draw bar graphs that represent accurate data. We also unpacked pictographs and how they can represent large numbers.

Humanities: We have finished a unit covering Civics and Citizenship. More specifically looking at the difference between Rules and Laws.
