Co-Curricular - Junior Sport Stage 3

Week 10 - Term 3
The final week of this term has proven to be a busy one. Photos were taken on Monday afternoon in a whirlwind of jerseys, singlets, boots and socks. Information on how to purchase these photos will be communicated to parents/carers in Term 4.
This Thursday night, we have the Junior School Winter Sport Presentation Night. I would like to thank all the families that have sent through photos to be used in the PowerPoint presentation on the night. Your photos will help add to an exciting atmosphere on the night.
A reminder to please be seated in the College Gymnasium by 5:45 PM, so we can start promptly at 6:00 PM. The night is scheduled to finish at 7:30 PM.
A message from the PDHPE department regarding practical lessons in Term 4 for boys in Year 5 and Year 6. All boys will be involved in swimming for PE lessons in Term 4. Boys can wear their college swimmers under their uniform to school, however they should not be visible. Boys change into their PE uniform to walk up to the College pool and once lessons are completed, boys should be changing out of their wet swimmers back into their school uniform. Slides may be worn from the changerooms to the pool and back, however boys should have their runners with them each lesson in case the pool is not available.
Summer sport training will commence on the first day back for boys, Wednesday 15 October. The training schedule has been released and should be available on the Parent Orbit App. The schedule has also been placed in each classroom, so all boys involved should know where and when they are training.
Boys training at Marie Bashir School or at Santa Sabina College tennis courts should be collected from these venues at the conclusion of training. Boys not collected from Marie Bashir within 10 minutes of training ending will be walked back to the College for pick up.
I wish all our families a restful and rejuvenating term break. I hope the time away from school is fruitful and full of activity. I look forward to seeing all the boys back out on the fields and courts again in Term 4, ready to represent the College once more.
