Hello Foundation Families!

This week we celebrated grand parents and special friends day. It was great to see all the grandparents and special friends come along to work on our world map together. Students made a picture of them and their grandparent or special friend and put them around our large world map. Then they connected their picture with the country where them or their grandparents are from. It was great to explore connections to other parts of the world as we come to the end of our Guided Inquiry unit. We spent the rest of our time in Guided Inquiry exploring different countries around the world. And it was a joy to see students enthusiasm for learning new facts about different countries.

In writing we continued looking at narratives and students worked on planning and writing their own narratives. There was lots of creativity on display and students worked hard showcasing their best work!

Maths took us into exploring the beginning of concepts of division with sharing. Students practiced identifying equal groups, sharing different quantities with or without left overs.

Kind Regards,

Tegan, Emma and Ash

Guided Inquiry Showcase- Week 9

For the conclusion of our unit. We are doing a showcase for our students to display their outcomes from "travelling" around Australia. We would love you to join us at 3:15 on September 16th. This will be hosted in the student's classrooms.

  • Travel photos - If you have any photos of students visiting Australia please bring them in to share.
  • Hats! As it is now spring and the UV is on the rise, please make sure students have clearly named hats for next week.
