Sheep

This week, Mr Adams and Mr McGee have been teaching the Year 10 students how to prepare and maintain their handpieces in good condition for the shearing season. Shearing starts next term at the shed, so everyone needs to know how their equipment works to assist in making the job easier.

Farm Skills

Yesterday, two teams headed to the Perth Royal Show to compete in the annual Farm Skills Competition. It was a great opportunity for students to compete against Cunderdin, Narrogin and Denmark Ag Colleges  to showcase their farm skills.

The weather was perfect and warm, allowing students to compete in various events, including fencing, machine operation, welding, shearing, wool classing, steer appraisal, ram appraisal, firefighting, and agronomy.

The students have been busy cleaning up the vineyard and getting the reticulation ready for the warmer days ahead. It's fantastic to see the fresh growth on the vines—definitely a sign that spring is finally here. 🌼🍇
