Curriculum Day

On our curriculum day, staff participated in Protective Intervention Training delivered by Resolution Education. This specialised professional learning supports staff to respond with confidence and competence when faced with difficult situations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all members of our school community.

The training is based on Resolution Education’s proven A.D.P. Framework, which is specifically tailored for the education sector. Staff explored practical strategies to manage challenging behaviours, reduce tension, and strengthen relationships in classrooms and across the school.

This professional learning not only enhances the safety and wellbeing of staff and students, but also contributes to a more productive and calm learning environment. By increasing staff confidence and equipping them with effective tools, our school is further strengthening its commitment to supporting every child to learn and thrive.

We thank all staff for their engagement and commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring that Cheltenham East Primary School continues to be a safe, respectful and inclusive place of learning.

Hats are back!

As the daily UV index is increasing, we will be introducing a soft launch of hats next week, with full implementation of hats outside the following week. Please find your child's hat over the weekend and pop it in their bag.

Facilities Maintenance Update

While staff were engaged in professional learning on Curriculum Day, important facilities maintenance and safety works were also completed across the school.

An Occupational Health and Safety audit was carried out to ensure our school continues to meet our high safety standards. Playground mulch was topped up to maintain safe and secure play spaces for all students. In addition, maintenance works were completed around gates, doors and guttering to keep our facilities in good condition.

We would like to extend our thanks to Mumma’s Shed for their ongoing support and hard work across the school. Their contribution plays a significant role in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment for our students, staff and families.

Save the date: Parent Teacher Interviews – Tuesday 9 September

Parent-Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday 9 September from 1:00pm to 5:30pm. These 10-minute meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, learning goals, and next steps as we move through the second half of the year.

Please note:

  • Interview times are strictly limited to 10 minutes to ensure all families have the opportunity to meet with their child’s teacher.
  • For students who are part of the Student Support Group (SSG) process, an SSG meeting will take the place of a regular interview. If this applies to your child, your classroom teacher will be in touch to arrange a time.

Bookings are now open.

We encourage all families to book a time and take part in this important conversation about their child’s learning.
