Wellbeing Report

Mr Nick Dimarco

On Thursday, 11th September, Greensborough College came together to celebrate R U OK? Day, a key initiative focused on encouraging everyone to check in and have meaningful conversations with those around them. This day is an important reminder of the power we have to support each other and to check in on one another.

The day was filled with activities designed to engage both staff and students in conversations about mental health. We provided mental health resources and created opportunities for students to check in with staff and peers, fostering an open and supportive atmosphere. The highlight of the day included a fun-filled photo booth, where everyone could snap some silly pictures, as well as a range of activities that allowed students to win prizes. We also had a generous supply of donuts for everyone to enjoy ensuring that everyone had a chance to connect over something sweet!

The turnout was fantastic, with staff and students fully embracing the spirit of the day and making it a meaningful experience for all involved. It was heartwarming to see so many members of our school community coming together, sparking important conversations, and offering support.

In addition to R U OK? Day, we have also had the opportunity to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week and Wear It Purple Day this term. Both dates serve as important reminders of our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students and staff. They give us the chance to celebrate the incredible diversity within our school community and to come together as a united force against bullying.

These initiatives are a testament to the strong, caring community we continue to build at Greensborough College.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in these important events, and let’s continue fostering a culture of care, support, and kindness in everything we do!
