Junior School Report

Mr Nicholas Heading

Term 3 is at the close, and we must now collectively join the eternal struggle of not yet thinking about Christmas! There have been so many wonderful and exciting things happening for Junior School in Term 3 which I want to highlight.

One of the most exciting aspects of high school is that students may choose some of their subjects. These first steps of looking ahead to future pathways is essential in helping students to get excited about the possibilities of school and beyond. Year 7s have been keen on trying out eSports, Dance, and other electives in 2026, while our Year 9s are starting to make important decisions about their journey through senior school.

Our Digital Thumbprint incursion was a great success for Years 7, 8, & 9. I sat in on a few sessions and was impressed at how forthcoming students were at sharing their knowledge and advice around navigating cyberbullying. Students remarked to me that they appreciated discussing issues relevant to them and their lives.

I want to also add to the chorus of praise for our Girls Football team that were triumphant in becoming state champions. Plenty of our Junior School girls were on the team and did themselves proud in representing the College. We can’t say enough just how proud we are of you all, well done.

Looking ahead to Term 4, keep striving for excellence and demonstrating our school values. You’ve accomplished so much in the year so far, and we have a final term to end the year on a high note!
