A Term of Aspiration! 

As we reach the end of Term Three, I want to acknowledge the aspiration I’ve seen across our school community over the past nine weeks. Aspiration means striving to be our best, setting ambitious goals, and committing to continual improvement. Whether it has been students working hard in their classes, teachers refining their practice, or families supporting learning at home, the sense of aspiration at Greensborough College has been inspiring. 

Attendance and Aspiration One of the clearest examples of aspiration in action has been our attendance. Compared to the same point last year, our students have attended an average of three additional days each. Across the school, that adds up to over 1,800 more days of learning. Every day matters, and this increase shows what can be achieved when students and families aspire to stronger connections with school and the opportunities it brings. 

Positive Behaviour and Aspiration Another way aspiration has been lived out this term is through our values. A remarkable 5,201 positive behaviour merits have been awarded to students for demonstrating courage, aspiration, respect, and equality. These merits highlight the everyday choices our students make to contribute positively to our community and to aim high in both learning and behaviour. 

VCE Preparation and Aspiration For our senior students, aspiration now takes the form of preparation. From Monday 22 September to Thursday 25 September, VCE practice exams will provide an important chance to build confidence, refine exam skills, and set ambitious goals for the final term of the year. I encourage all students to approach these exams with focus and determination, knowing each step brings them closer to their aspirations. 

As we head into the break, I encourage everyone to rest, recharge, and reflect on how aspiration has shaped your term. Thank you for the ambition, effort, and positivity you bring to our school community each day.
