The Resilience Project Year 1

As part of The Resilience Project, our students have been learning simple yoga and mindfulness practices. Yoga supports children’s wellbeing by helping them regulate their emotions, build focus, and reduce stress. Through breathing, movement, and relaxation, students learn strategies they can use in the classroom and in their daily lives to feel calm and centred. These skills not only support resilience but also encourage positive mental health, kindness, and self-awareness.

Last Friday we did some yoga in our Resilience Project lesson.  I felt very calm.  I liked doing the surfing pose because it was very relaxing.  For homework we have to show our family how to do yoga and I am very excited.

When I did yoga it was very mindful and I felt calm.  My favourite pose was the treasure chest, because it helped my mindfulness.
