 INQUIRY AND WRITING TERM 3 YEAR 4 

We will be telling you about what the Year 4s have been doing in Inquiry and Writing!

In writing, we have been learning about persuasive texts, about many different topics, such as you “Should You Have a Robot in Your Life” and “Banning Energy Drinks.” In a persuasive text, we have been learning that at the start, there's an introduction that introduces what you're talking about. The first body paragraph stays on one subject, and so do the other two. The conclusion wraps up what you’ve been writing about and says your reasons again. That is all for the Writing. 

In the Inquiry, we have learned about Weathering and Erosion, the Earth's surface/core, what humans can do to change the Earth and the water Cycle. Weathering is a process that changes the shape of a rock. Erosion is another natural process that moves rocks through the action of water, wind, gravity, and ice. The Earth's surface has crust, upper mantle, lower mantle, outer core and inner core. Humans can change the Earth by building things, riding bikes, and moving objects. The water cycle starts with evaporation, then condensation, then transpiration, then lastly precipitation. That is the water cycle!
