Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope all our dads and father figures had a wonderful Father’s Day yesterday. A big thank you to the Village Bakery for spoiling us with a delicious breakfast of egg and bacon rolls and croissants, and to all the dads who were able to join us in classrooms last week. The children absolutely loved sharing their learning and having you by their side.
On our recent Professional Learning Day, staff were blessed to spend time with Fr. Rob Galea. He inspired us with his faith, music, and powerful stories, reminding us of the importance of bringing joy, hope, and authenticity into both our teaching and our lives. A key message he shared was that the greatest gift we can give our students is to truly see, value, and love them as God does. It was a meaningful day of faith formation, learning, and inspiration for all.
Our last day of term is next Friday, September 19th, at 1:00 pm. If you require care after this time, please book with THEIRCARE.
Thank you to all families who have already finalised their school fees. A gentle reminder that the final instalment is due this Friday, September 12th.
There are currently 68 families with outstanding fees, and we kindly ask that payments be made by the due date. Your contributions are vital in supporting the smooth running of our school and providing the best learning resources and opportunities for our students. If you are experiencing any difficulties, please don’t hesitate to contact the office. We are here to support you.

We invite all parents to an upcoming session with our School Speech Pathologist, Lizzy Williams, who will share practical tips on how to support your child’s speech and language development at home in simple, everyday ways.
You’ll also learn about what typical speech and language development looks like, and when it may be helpful to seek further support.
Date: Wednesday 15th October 2025
Time: 9 am - 10 am
Location: St. Fidelis STEM and Library space
This is a valuable opportunity to gain insights and strategies to help your child thrive. We look forward to seeing you there! We look forward to welcoming some of our new 2026 families to this session.
Over the weekend, we were excited to have new doors installed in our STEM Innovation Centre. In addition, bag and tub shelves will be installed over the holidays in Year 1/2CW and the current Italian room, giving our children more space to store their belongings and drinks. These upgrades are small but important steps that make a big difference to our students’ daily experience at school.
School improvements like these are only possible thanks to families who pay their fees on time. Your support ensures we can continue to provide the very best learning and play environments for our children.
WORKING BEE - Please also save the date – Friday, October 25th – for our School Working Bee. This will be a wonderful community event and a chance for us all to work together on some spring cleaning tasks, such as:
We look forward to seeing many of you there and working side by side to keep our school such a welcoming place for our children and community. More details will follow soon.
Family School Improvement Survey
In 2025, our school is participating in the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools gather feedback from students, families, and staff on how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
One of the primary objectives of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement within our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.
Your input is crucial in shaping the educational experience for all students. The feedback you provide through the MACSSIS survey enables us to make informed decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of our school community. Whether it's enhancing our teaching practices, improving communication, or fostering a more supportive school environment, your voice plays a key role in driving positive change.
We encourage all parents to participate in the survey, as your perspectives are essential in helping us create the best possible learning environment for our children. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and contribute to the continuous improvement of our school.
The survey will be emailed to parents and needs to be completed by
Friday, 19 September 2025.
Have a lovely week
Manuela
