If you have expertise in educational leadership, policy and/or governance and want to contribute to enriching the lives of 5,500 students in 7 schools, you’re invited to consider the Kildare Education Ministries (KEM) Board’s Policy and Governance Committee.
Kildare Education Ministries (KEM) Board is responsible to the Trustees of Kildare Ministries for the oversight of seven schools in Victoria and South Australia. The Board and its Committees support quality education for 5,500 students, formation of 650 staff and the activities and facilities at these schools.
One of the KEM Board’s four committees is the Policy and Governance Committee. This helps the Board fulfil its responsibilities in regard to policy, procedure and key governance documentation.
This committee helps to enable the transformative power of education in KEM schools, underpinned by sound educational practice, and based on a rich Catholic and spiritual tradition. KEM schools provide an inclusive and socially just education.
We seek two additional members with relevant ability and experience to join this group. The position is voluntary and involves four meetings per year.
Along with professional competence, Committee members have:
respect for people, processes, diversity and decision making as elements of building a positive culture and
a commitment to, and a heart for, working with the marginalised.
The Kildare Education Ministries schools are:
Clonard College, Geelong (Victoria)
Kilbreda College, Mentone (Victoria)
Kildare College, Holden Hill (SA)
Killester College, Springvale (Victoria)
Marian College, Ararat (Victoria)
Marian College, Sunshine West (Victoria); and
St Joseph’s College, Echuca (Victoria)
Applications are due 18 September. For further information, please contact Peter Houlahan, KEM’s Executive Officer. phoulahan@kemboard.org.au or 03 9682 2973.
